About the Norrsken100

The Norrsken100 is an annual selection of the most promising early-stage startups solving global challenges at scale by outperforming the legacy models that created them. In Norrsken’s words, they are 100 ways to fix the future.

The list is curated by Norrsken Foundation and compiled from nominations made by its partners. This year, the Norrsken team processed more than 1,400 nominations from 80 hand-picked nomination partners, among them some of the world’s most prominent venture capital firms, academic institutions and NGOs.

The 2026 list was announced on 14 October and includes companies from 21 countries.

Why Cler

Exhaust air full of grease, oil mist and particles is a costly and persistent problem. Traditional filters trap the pollution, then clog and need replacing. What gets past them builds up in ventilation ducts, where it requires expensive cleaning and creates a real fire risk.

At Cler, we’ve built a new kind of air purification system: one without filters. Our Perpetual Centrifugal Purification (PCP) technology uses a rapidly spinning stack of conical discs to separate grease, oil mist and particles from the air before they reach the ventilation system. The separated grease is drained away, and the system cleans itself as it runs.

The result is cleaner air, cleaner ventilation systems and safer buildings, with no filters to buy, replace or throw away.
